John Owen Jones

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is John Owen Jones – as you may have guessed from my surname, I’m a Welshman born and bred. I love my country, the greenery and the friendly people which is why, at 24, I happily reside in the sleepy town of Porthmadog.

My career as a PE teacher at the local secondary school is very important to me – keeping fit should be fun, and I aim to make it so for all the children I teach. When I’m not running around umpiring kids on the football pitch, or shouting from the sidelines of a netball court, I love to indulge in my own sporting interests – namely hiking, surfing (I’ve hardened to the icy Welsh waters), and rugby. I’ll be chatting a lot about sport in my blog.

When taking time out from physical pursuits, it doesn’t take much to put a smile on my face. Beers with the boys down the local pub is a pastime that can’t be beaten, as is meeting my huge appetite requirements at local restaurants – there’s a great little Italian that blows me away every time.

I live with my mum and dad in the basement, which I where I spend my time mostly, whether playing online bingo or on the casino or whatever. I’m also planning a holiday away this summer SO I CAN ESCAPE THEM! Haha, not really, I really like them.
