With the Easter holiday well and truly underway, I’ve been quite bored to be honest. I still live with my mum and dad but they’re getting quite old now so their hearing has gone and they can’t always hear what I’m saying. They can hear each other perfectly well, but I guess that’s just love for you.
So I’ve been keeping myself busy by playing some online casino games, particularly the free slots. They’re great: you can set it up so you can play the games without putting on a bet. This means you experience the fun of the titles without any chance of loss.
Before long, I’d slapped on a Stereophonics CD and rocked out while playing slots, racking up quite a few points (sadly not pounds as remember I wasn’t playing for money) on the games. My favourite was probably Rainbow Riches. I was drawn to this as I’d seen the fruit machine in the pub before so it was kind of cool to play an online version.
I’ve often wondered if teaching the kids at school about gambling is a good idea. Of course, they’d need to be taught about being responsible with it (not betting someone else’s house, for example!), but they could learn a lot about probability and how to handle their money. The thing is, a lot of my ideas for the school have been dismissed in the past (I still stand by Tom Jones Wednesdays) so there’s a chance they might not listen.
I’m back in school next Monday and I’m looking forward to it more than I thought I would. Let’s hope the kids don’t trick me again! :-) I’ve never really been a big fan of Easter as religion makes me sick and I don’t believe in chocolate, so it will be good to be back.
Until Monday, then, I’ll be on the computer not losing any money! :-P
